Under the Cover Fundraiser
Under the Cover is Literacy Unlimited’s annual fundraiser, helping raise money to support adults in the West Island to improve their English language literacy. The funds raised support Literacy Unlimited’s free one-on-one tutoring services and community programs. By buying a ticket, you are helping English-speaking adults in your community improve their reading, writing and essential skills. We are hosting two events in 2023: Joanna Goodman (The Forgotten Daughter) and Michelle Good (Five Little Indians).
If you have already purchased your tickets for our evening with Joanna Goodman on February 8th, thank you. We met with Joanna and Trudie Mason last week and it will be a fun and thought-provoking evening. Joanna discussed some of her influences in the video here.
There is still time to purchase your tickets if you are planning on attending.
Under the Cover is a live online event. After each author interview, there will be time to answer audience questions.
Tickets are $25 for each event. ($10 for students).
All proceeds will benefit Literacy Unlimited and donation receipts will be provided.
More details and tickets on this page.

Literacy Unlimited is hosting an event at the Pointe-Claire Public Library for Family Literacy Day on Saturday, January 28! We are excited that local children’s book author (and journalist) Richard Dagenais will be reading from his books! Richard is a master of rhymes and has an engaging reading style. It will definitely be fun for kids of all ages! We will also have arts and crafts and fun worksheets.
Learn more about family literacy and our event on our website.
