Canada Book Day Featuring Toula Drimonis

April 26 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm EDT

Canada Book Day with Toula Drimonis

Toula Drimonis draws from her family’s immigrant background and journalistic research to address Canada’s history, divisive laws like Bill 21, and nationalist movements in “We, the Others.” Her recently published book, “Seeking Asylum: Building a Shareable World,” urges empathy and rethinking our obligations to each other.

Canada Book Day is more than just a day on the calendar—it’s a celebration of the joy and importance of reading. Established by UNESCO in 1995, Canada Book Day, along with World Book Day and Copyright Day, pays homage to the literary giants who have shaped our world.
