Seniors Program for 55+ at Literacy Unlimited
Literacy Unlimited offers literacy-friendly workshops for West Island seniors. Seniors of any literacy level can join our weekly workshops with minimal to no reading or writing required to register or participate.
Tuesday, March 14: Social Teatime
Learn about therapy animals and meet a therapy dog. We will also celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, so please wear green! Drinks and snacks provided. Register by March 10.
At the Literacy Unlimited office from 1:00-2:00 pm.
Thursday, March 23: Brain Health 101
As we get older, the speed at which we think slows down. But did you know we can improve the way we think? In this workshop, we will discuss how the brain works. We will discover what happens to the brain as we age. We will learn how to take control of our brain strength. Join our facilitator, Kirstin Bennett, an ElderCARE planner and Aging Well Advocate, to learn more. Register by March 17.

Tuesday, March 28: Grocery Store Tour
Join Provigo dietitian Kathleen Le-Nguyen who will guide us around the store. Learn to shop on a budget and what healthy foods to eat for aging. Register by March 21.
